A birthing doula helps you have a positive and safe birth experience. Your doula can help you create a birth plan that’s right for you and teach you how to advocate for yourself during birthing. Whether you are having a home birth, a hospital birth, or in a birthing center, a doula can support you before your midwife arrives or before you go to the hospital by helping you be as comfortable as possible and reassuring you that everything is normal so you can focus on birthing!
